Midfield Heights is an inclusive development which repurposes a mobile home park located in the existing community of Winston Heights to create a mixed-use urban village consisting of 1,000+ condominium and townhouse units, and 40,000 sqft of commercial development.
Located at the junction of two key entranceways, 16 AV and Deerfoot Trail, Midfield provides opportunities to create an iconic landmark project. The community features high quality urban design along with multiple public open space amenities and strong connectivity to the broader community.
The development will include a significant affordable housing component. Additionally, the proposal expresses the City’s commitment to sustainability and climate resilience through the development of guidelines to promote low carbon energy systems throughout the project.
The key team members of PlanningPlus and Situated worked closely with Real Estate and Development Services (RE&DS) on conceptual plans, market research, stakeholder engagement, and Land Use & Outline Plan approval by the City of Calgary.
The Plan was approved by Calgary City Council in March 2021. Construction of the project is underway.
